Jumi opened her eyes slowly and saw her face was just 5cm away from Joon's face. Joon held out his hand and wiped Jumi's forehead....

"Look! There's flour on your forehead!"

He told her and smiled sweetly. Jumi's face turned red. She tried to say something to hide her shyness....

"Hmmm! Looks like customers are coming. I... I... I gotta go now. Call me if you need help!"

She said without looking at his face and ran very quickly out of the kitchen. Joon looked at her running and smiled faintly.....

Jumi took a deep breathe and thought....

""""Why my heart is beating so fast?"""

"JUMI!!!"

Someone called her. Jumi turned around...

"Kei!!! What are you doing here?"

He smiled and said...

"I just want to drop by and I'm bringing you something."

He said while bringing a big bunch of flowers out and gave Jumi...

"For you, Jumi!"

"For me??? Why?"

"Ahhh... I have a feeling that I wanna give you.^^"

"Hmmm.... There must be a reason."

He thought for a second and replied....

"Ummm... Then, this is for being my friend!"

"Kei! You shouldn't have given me this."

"Oh come on Jumi! Please accept it. People seem to be staring straight at me now."

Jumi looked around and realized everyone was looking at them...

"Hmmm.. Ok then! Thank you so much!"

"Hehe!!! By the way, Jumi! Are you coming this evening?"

"Um... Let me think! I'm not sure if I'd come or not."

"There are going to be fireworks tonight. You have to come, ok? Please Please Please!!!"

Kei was begging Jumi with puppy eyes. Jumi smiled broadly and responded...

"You're such a kid, Kei!"

"I gotta go back to my shop now. This evening you have to come or I'll be mad at you."..............

As time passed by, it was almost time to close the shop. Jumi looked at customers who were eating cake and smiling happily. She smiled sweetly. Joon walked to her and said...

"You look so happy Jumi!"

"Yeah! This feeling is really great when I see people smile like that and I'm sure they will treasure this moment as their memories forever."

Joon looked at Jumi while she was talking. He had noticed that once she mentioned about memory, her smile seemed sweeter and brighter than usual. Jumi turned back and saw Joon was staring straight at her. That reminded her of what had happened in the kitchen. She quickly turned away.....

"Jumi! Do you like sweet things?"

"Um... Not really!"

"Then have this! It's not so sweet!"

He said and brought out a piece of chocolate cake, which was decorated nicely with a strawberry on the top and pictures of star around. Jumi was very surprised with that cake. Joon continued....

"I give you this in order to thank you for helping me today.^^"

Jumi stood still without saying anything back to Joon.

(((((Just try a bite Jumi. It's not sweet at all....................................... Wow it's yummy!!! ^^)))))

"Jumi!!! Jumi!!!"

"Ah.. Ah.. Yeah!"

"Try it!"

Jumi looked a bit hesitant. She had a bite of the cake...

"How is it? Is it too sweet?"

Jumi smiled and responded.....

"No!!! It's so delicious!"

"Really? That's great!"

Joon smiled sweetly.................................

"""""""The taste of the cake I had 7 years ago and the taste of the cake I had just now are not different at all. But why someone who made the cake 7 years ago is not someone who made the cake just now....""""""

The evening has finally come. After the whole day of tiring, students of each class finally had fun with the school festival. The darkness of night slowly covered the atmosphere. But beautiful lights brightened up the night. Jumi was walking alone, unlike other students who were having fun with their friends. Someone ran toward her...

"Jumi! You finally come!"

"Aw! Kei!"

"Thank you for coming."

Kei smiled with full of joy.....

"Come on Jumi! Let's have fun!"

"Wait!"

Without listening to Jumi, Kei grabbed Jumi's hand and dragged her with him. Kei seemed to be having so much fun with Jumi. Jumi smiled faintly seeing Kei being happy like a kid. They were holding hand and running happily without even realizing Joon was watching them from the distance.....

"Our school festival is going really well. Looks like everyone is having so much fun. There are many special events tonight. The prince and princess of the high school will be announced in 10 more minutes at the main stage at the front."

Once the student council president finished his announcement, everyone rushed to the main stage....

"Jumi! Let's go!"

"OK!"

9 more minutes....

"................... and our school has been improving since................."

The president kept on talking. A guy was talking with his friend.....

"Hey! Don't you think the president is talking too much? =____=^ I've been waiting for the announcement for such a long time."

The president announced.....

"Alright then! Now the moment you've been waiting for has finally come. The school's prince and princess will be announced in a second. I'd like to announce the princess first. This year princess position goes toooooooooooooooo................ JUMI!!!! From 2nd year class 1."

Everyone screamed and applauded. They seemed to be very appreciated with the result. However, Jumi was very shocked with the result....

"Jumi! That's you!"

Kei said and pushed her to the stage. She seemed to be waking from her shocking. She walked slowly to the stage. The president put a crown on her head and said....

"Congratulation Jumi! So next I'm gonna announce the prince. This year prince position goes toooooooo............... KEI! From 2nd year class 2."

Everyone screamed and applauded. He walked to the stage. People were talking...

"Kei and Jumi look so cute together."

"They make a good couple."

"As expected, they still keep the position as the prince and princess as usual."

Everyone kept screaming and applauding......

The president continued...

"But wait everyone! Looks like I haven't finished my announcement yet."

The president's words caused silence of the students...........................................

Students of each class were pretty busy with preparation of coming school festival. Everyone was extremely exhausted but looked like they were having so much fun. Nothing different for 2nd year class 1...

"Tadashi! Put that table over there.... Yeah that's it! Ryuu! Can you help me with this?"

The class leader and the rest were decorating the shop...

"Hmmmm... I'm so tired!!!"

"Yeah... I think I'm gonna faint."

"Hey guys stop complaining and help me."....

Jumi was lifting a few chairs into the shop. Once Joon saw her, he was about to go and helped her with that but someone walked in and said....

"Let me help you!"

"Aw! Kei! Thank you!"

Kei helped Jumi while staring at Joon who was staring straight back at him...

"I heard that your class is running a florist's, right?"

"Yeah! That's right!^^"

Jumi continued...

"Wahhhh... That's great. Flowers are beautiful."

Jumi said and smiled sweetly...

"I gotta head back to class now. See ya Jumi.".........................

A moment later....

"Alright! We've done with the decoration."

The class leader smiled while other students were complaining...

"Finally! I almost died with the decoration... =___=^"

"That's right! I'm so tired!"

The class leader stated....

"Guys guys! Don't make that face. Today we're tired. But we're gonna have fun on festival day."

"Yayyyyy!!!"

Everyone screamed with full of joy just to think of the fun festival day...........

The class leader continued...

"By the way! We haven't named our shop yet."

Some students responded...

"I'm not very good in naming."

"It's kinda hard since we have to find a name that is related to our shop and have a deep meaning."

................................SILENT...................................

Jumi spoke out....

"How about 'Memorable Moment'? Once people taste our cake, they will keep that taste as their memory."

"Not bad! What do you guys think? If you agree to Jumi's idea, please raise your hand."

Everyone raised their hands and commented....

"That sounds so sweet!"

"And it's so touching."......

The class leader continued...

"Great! So everything's done!"...............................................

School Festival Day........

The atmosphere of a high school was full of people. Everyone seemed to be having so much fun. Student's stalls and shops were decorated in different styles. Many students were enjoying the festival with their friends. Some of them were from other schools. Beside that, students of each class were busy with their festival project but the smile on their faces never disappeared.......

"Memorable Moment"

6 girls were dressed in white maid outfit. They were serving cake and tea with happy face. A girl with long black hair, was dressed in pink maid outfit...

"Welcome to 'Memorable Moment'."

"Wow! Jumi! You look so cute today."

A customer threw a compliment as she walked in. Jumi smiled and responded gently...

"Thank you! May I guide you to a seat?"............

'Memorable Moment' was so full of customers, a little different from other shops.....

"Looks like our shop is so popular."

The class leader said...

"This is all thanks to everyone's hard work. Especially Jumi! Since she's the one who is standing in front of the shop and welcome customers, everyone seems to be coming to our shop more and more."

Ryuu responded while looking at Jumi who was welcoming customers with a face full of bright smile......

In the kitchen.........

"Joon! You need any help?"

"Jumi! Can you pour flour into that big bowl for me?"

"Sure!"

Jumi took a bag of flour and poured it in a big bowl. She looked a bit hesitant but she decided to ask Joon........

"Joon! When did you first knowing how to make a cake?"

"I don't really remember. I just remember that it was a long time ago since my mum taught me how to make a cake."

"I see! Looks like you really enjoy making cake, right?"

"Yeah! I feel happy every time I make cake. I want to see people smile as they taste it."

Jumi looked at Joon's happy face and wiped her sweat away from her forehead......

Joon continued....

"I have a wish. It is to make a cake for someone I love."

Joon said while looking into Jumi's eyes. Jumi was very shocked. She was trying to move herself a little bit far from Joon and escaped from his eyes. But she didn't realize there was flour that she had spilled while she was pouring. She stepped on it and slipped....

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Jumi closed her eyes since she's too scared....

"Jumi!!!"

Joon was very surprised. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him.....

Jumi opened her eyes slowly and saw.............................................

Jumi exclaimed

"Me?"

Everyone exclaimed

"Her?"

Other girls reacted over Jumi's position...

"I wanna help Joon too."

"Yeah me too."

"Why there's only Jumi?"

The class leader responded...

"Be quiet everyone! Jumi sits next to Joon. They must be close and get along well. So I guess it'll be great for them to work together. That's all for today. Tomorrow we'll start with our decoration. You all have to come. Don't be lazy or I'll punish you to clean the bathroom. You can go home now. Have a nice day everyone."

Jumi ran toward the class leader and said...

"Excuse me leader! Don't you think it's not a really good idea for me to be Joon's helper?"

"Is there any problem Jumi? I think there's no one is better than you as this position. By the way if I let a girl become Joon's helper, other girl will get jealous and our project will be ruined."

Having no choice and didn't want to concern the class leader, Jumi decided to accept that positon. Everyone was preparing to leave, including Jumi who was putting her stuffs into her bag while feeling worried about the position as Joon's helper....

She's done with packing and left the class. As usual, she walked along the street surrounded by big trees. Walking slowly into the park, the kids ran toward her. She had a seat on a swing and read a fairy tale for them...

"Sister Jumi! How come a kiss from the prince can wake Aurora up?"

Her memories seemed to be bringing her back to the thing happened 7 years ago...... Jumi smiled and answered...

"That's because the power of the curse has nothing compare to the true love of the prince for the princess."

"Wow that's wonderful. We're going back to play now. Thanks for the story sister."

"Be careful kids."

Jumi was sitting all alone thinking of memories she's treasured in her heart up until now....

((((("Wooooow! That's such a wonderful story! It would be great if all the curse could be broken by a kiss.^^"

"Not just because of the kiss but because the power of the curse has nothing compare to the true love of the prince for the princess."

"I love how fairy tale starts with Once upon a time and ends up Happily ever after.")))))

Someone walked toward her and interrupted her thoughts...

"Looks like you regularly visit this park."

Jumi said with surprising face....

"Joon! What are you doing here?"

"I just walked pass here and saw you, so I decided to drop by for a moment. Do you mind if I sit here?"

"Hmmm... No of course not."

Joon smiled and took a seat on a swing next to Jumi...

"The last time I picked up a book for you, it was a fairy tale. Just a moment ago, I saw you were telling a fairy tale to the kids. You seem to like reading fairy tale so much."

Jumi smiled a bit and responded...

"Yeah... Reading fairy tale makes me feel happy. By the way you've been watching me all along?"

"Hmmm... Yeah. I dare not to interrupt while you were telling the story to the kids.^^ Anyway Are you feeling bad about working with me on school festival?"

"No! Don't get it wrong. I'm just afraid that I will be troubling you."

"That's ok! Don't think too much about it and don't feel any pressure. Because i'll be ok even if you're troubling me."

Joon smiled gently to Jumi. She smiled back to him. Joon continued...

"My house is on this way. I often see you when I walk pass here. You like coming here?"

"You can say that. But this park is the only place I know. I've been coming here since I was young."

"You're always alone?"

"When I was young I used to have someone who was always by my side, but now he's not by my side anymore."

"Oh I see. Don't worry. I'm sure he'll be back to you again one day."

Joon looked at his watch and said...

"It's time. I gotta go now. Good bye Jumi. See you at school tomorrow."

He smiled and walked out of the park. Jumi was watching him from the back with tears dropping....

"I hope so too, Joon. I hope he will be back to me again. Even if I have to wait for a very long time, it's ok as long as he'll be back to me. But everything is just too hopeless for me. Because right now he's become someone who doesn't even remember me. I've become a stranger to him. Hoping that he will be back to me is just an endless hope, a hope that will never be real. It's enough just to see him smile like that. It's just a little bit hard for me to realize that he is right in front of me but I can never have him by my side as he used to be."..................

Ever since I attended school, I had never realized what a true friendship is, not even experienced it once. Sometimes I had thought that there wouldn't be any true friendship for me in this world. Until I met them, I finally realized that there really is a true friendship for me in this world. The way we've been through together have brought me lots of memories that I intend to keep in my heart until the end of time. The way they care for me, the way they worry about me, the way they love me really does mean a lot to me. It's been just 1 year but they've already given me such a warm friendship. The moment we laugh, we play, we smile, we cry, we share are memorable moments of my entire life. The time has been passing by very fast. One year has already passed. It's almost time for us to separate and follow our own dreams. For the short moment left, I just wanna create memories with them and treasure it in my heart. After that moment, even we'll be separated but I promise I will never forget them and they will always be my true friends any time, any what and any where. Let me say this once "THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I ALWAYS DO. I LOVE YOU FOR TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER. YOU ARE MY TRUE PRECIOUS FRIENDS".........

You are my Endless Memory: episode 10 ""Shocking position""

Jumi turned around and saw Joon who had been sitting at a corner table. He was talking and smiling with some girls from his class. Immediately Joon looked straight back at her. Once their eyes met, Jumi quickly turned away nervously......

"Kei! It's almost time. I'm heading back to class first. See ya!"

She said and walked very fast out of the cafeteria....

"Wait Jumi!"

Before going after Jumi, Kei turned back and realized Joon was looking at Jumi who was walking out of canteen. Kei started to suspect there's something wrong between them....

Recess time, on the 3rd floor of a high school building, a group of 1st year students were chasing each other through the crowd. Jumi was leaving her class while holding a bunch of books. They bumped into her and ran away. Jumi dropped all her books on the floor. She sat down and picked them up one by one. There's one last book on the floor. She was about to pick it up but there was a hand reach out to pick it up for her. She looked up and exclaimed..........

"Joon!"

He responded....

"You read fairy tale?"

"er...erm.... Yeah!"

She said nervously without looking back at him. Joon smiled and continued....

"It's quite rare to see a high school student enjoy reading fairy tale. You're such a unique girl."

Jumi smiled back at him and responded.....

"Thank you so much for helping me. I gotta go now. Goodbye! Have a nice day!"

She stood up and left....

Joon smiled faintly and walked to another direction, leaving Kei who had been watching them from the start until the end......

One evening of autumn, Jumi was walking along a street which is surrounded by big trees. Leaves were falling from the trees and spreaded all over the street. She walked slowly into a park. The atmosphere in the park was really relaxing. There were kid playing in the playground. There were people riding bike, reading book and relaxing on the benches. Jumi took a seat on a swing. A group of kids ran toward her and called her name...

"Sister Jumi! Sister Jumi!"

She smiled and said......

"Hi kids! Have you guys been waiting for me long?"

"No! Not really. We wanna hear the story from you."

She brought up a book...

"Look! I have "Cinderella" for you today."

"Yayyyyyy......"

Jumi smiled and told the story to the kids sweetly with someone who had been watching her from the distance......

Next day at school....

The atmosphere of a second year class 1 was noisy during a recess. Everyone seemed to be having fun discussing about coming school festival. The class leader stood up and announced...

"Attention everyone! As you see, school festival is on next week and we haven't decided something on our class's project yet. I'd like some ideas. Anyone's got any ideas?"

A student suggested.....

"We should run a cafe."

Another student responded...

"But I think many classes have run the cafe a lot every year. Why don't we try something a little bit more unique?"

"A florist's. How's that?"

"I heard that the class next to us is willing to open a florist's."

The atmosphere had been quiet quite a moment....

Joon raised his hand up and said....

"How about we run a cake shop? It's rare to see a class running it."

The class leader responded....

"Hmmmm.... Actually that's not a bad idea. But who's gonna make the cake?"

Joon claimed...

"Don't worry. I'll be responsible for the cake."

Girls in the class were very impressed....

"Wow Joon! You know how to make cake? That's so cool."

"Yeah... He's such a perfect guy."

The class leader announced again...

"So anyone rejects? Pleas raise you hand. Anyone?"

.................................SILENT..............................

"Alright! So we've confirmed on the project. So now I'll give you all your position."

"Akira, Aiko, Mika, Reiko, Sora, Yumi and Saki! You're taking the responsible of serving. Taka, Tadashi, Ryuu and Riku! You guys will be coming with me to get ingredients. Momo, Ren, Megumi will take the cashier position. Naka, Mao and Ruka will be responsible for getting the order. The last one! Jumi! You'll be the one who's welcoming customers. Moreover, you also take the position as Joon's helper.".....

Jumi exclaimed....

"Me?"

Everyone in the class exclaimed...

"Her?"

"Jumi!"

"Kei! You surprised me!"

A boy smiled and said...

"HaHa I just wanted to see your funny face^^"

Kei is a boy who's in a class next to Jumi's, also known as the prince of the school. He's a tall guy with medium black hair. His pink lips go well with his white skin. He's a guy whom every girls at school wish to be with. But for Kei, he's seemed to never interest in any girls. Beside that, he always comes to Jumi. He's known Jumi since the 1st year of middle school. Because of Jumi’s lovely and calm character, Kei have been developing his feeling for Jumi since then. On the other hand, Jumi seemed to have treated him as her good friend only....

"Jumi! I heard that there was a student transferred into your class, right?"

"Hmmmm... yeah."

"Look! Is that him?"

Jumi turned around and saw Joon who was being surrounded by their classmates in front of the class. He was smiling. Kei continued....

"Looks like he's so popular. He's quite handsome as well. That's why people said cute people rule the world, don't you think so Jumi?"

.........................Silent..........................

"Jumi! Jumi!"

"Ah! Yeah Kei!"

"Are you ok? You don't look well today."

"I'm fine. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night."

"Shall I take you home?"

"That's ok! I can go by myself."

A group of girls walked into the class and saw Kei....

"Hey guys! Look! That's Kei!"

"Wow! He's even more handsome than before."

Back to Jumi and Kei.....

"Nahhhhhhhhhh..... Jumi! Let me take......."

A girl walked toward them and interrupted while Kei is offering to take Jumi home...

"Kei! Long time no see."

Another girl continued..

"How was your vacation, Kei?"

"Ermmmmmmmm..... Yeah, my vacation was great."

He turned back to Jumi...

"Hey Jumi! I'll take you home."

Jumi smiled and responded...

"Don't worry! I can go on my own."

She packed her stuff and left....

"Jumi! Wait for me!"

Kei was about to follow her. But a girl grabbed his hand and stopped him...

"Where do you think you're going, Kei? There are lots more questions we wanna ask you."....

Jumi walked pass Joon as she was leaving. Joon was watching her back once a boy said....

"Our princess is still as silent as usual."

Joon responded...

"Princess?"

"Yeah Jumi was voted as the princess of this high school. She's beautiful, cute, smart, good behaviour and friendly. Looks like there's no one in this school who say something bad about her. She's so popular. But there's something about her. She's a quiet girl and she's always alone. She's been confessed by many boys. But she's always rejected them in a very gentle way. She doesn't talk much. She greets people by smiling. She's got a smile that people can't ignore."

Joon kept looking at her until she disappeared from his sight.....

Jumi's diary entry...

"Diary! He's finally back! He really is back! This is not a dream. Joon is back. It's been 7 years since the last time I saw him. He hasn't changed at all. He still keeps the smile on his face as usual. But the only thing he's changed is he doesn't remember me anymore. He's forgotten all the memories we've been through together. It means that he's already thrown away our painful memories. He might forget that I've got that disease. So I can start everything over without seeing him hurts. I should be happy, right? Of course I should be. But how come my tears keep flowing non-stop like this???"...........

Next morning....

Cafeteria in the school was fulfilled with students from every class. Everyone was having fun with their friends which cause the atmosphere very noisy. A little different for Jumi, she was sitting quietly all alone at a small table without realizing someone's watching her from the corner......

"Morning Jumi!"

"Ahhh Good morning Kei!"

"How come you're eating alone? You should have called me with you."

Without responding, she just looked at him and smiled...... A group of students walked pass them while talking about something...

"Do you know? There will be something special on school festival this year."

"Really? I can't wait!"

Kei spoke up....

"Everyone seems to be looking forward to the school festival."

Jumi responded....

"Yeah! There must be something special."

"I heard that there will be voting to choose the prince and princess. Particularly, they will be crowned on the festival day."

"Really? Then you're gonna be voted as the prince again, Kei!"

"Nahhh... I don't think so. Many new enrolled students are popular and handsome. Especially the guy over there."

Jumi turned around and saw................................

Happy birthday to me =^^=

It's been 15 years already since I was born. The time has passed by very fast. It's kinda hard to believe I'm 15 years old today. I woke up in the morning and got birthday wishes from my best friends. That was the best feeling when someone remembers my birthday. Today, my special day, I have so many wishes. May my family live in a happy life until the end of time. May I be someone who always bring happiness for people I love. May I be able to be the one to make everyone smiles. May I be able to do everything for my parents. May I achieve all of my dreams. May all my wishes, which I've always wished since I was young up until now, come true.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME..............

Thank you for the wishes I've received today. Thank you everyone! I love you all........
