A little message to my only hero

When i was born,
he was there to catch me when i fall, whenever and wherever.
When i said my first words,
he was there for me,
to teach me the whole dictionary if need be.
When i took my first steps,
he was there to encourage me on.
When i had my first day at school,
he was there to give me advice and help me with my homework.
When there is no one listens to my song,

he was there to sit still and listen to it with a smile.

I still havent finished school,
or walked down the aisle, or had my first child.

But i know he will be there for me through all these times and more, the good and bad........

Dear daddy,
I may love a lot of man in the future, someday I'll get married to someone out there. But in the end let me remind you that, no matter what happen, you'll always be the best guy for me. I love you 'till forever ends.......

You are my Endless Memory: episode 35 "Surprising Valentine's day"

Jumi clenched her fist and answered......

“We’re friends.”

Rena smiled in an evil way and walked close to Jumi. She looked straight into Jumi’s eyes and spoke out.....

“Good then! You’re his friend and he’s your friend. So you guys forever will be friends. Don’t get in the way between me and him. I will never let Joon go to anyone easily.”

Jumi clenched her fist even harder and said......

“It doesn’t matter with me even if you let Joon go to anyone easily or not because Joon is not stuff. He’s a person who can’t be controlled like a robot.”

Jumi said and lied down on her bed. As for Rena, she was very angry with Jumi’s words. She clenched her both fists and said in her mind.....

“”Wait and see! I will do whatever it takes to make you admit that Joon is mine and your past is just a useless thing.””

It was an early morning. Jumi was preparing her stuffs and getting ready to leave. As she walked out of her room, the first person she saw was a tall guy in black jeans, hoodie and jacket, who was smiling at her. He was none other than the handsome Joon. He spoke to Jumi......

“Morning Jumi! Did you have a good sleep?”

Jumi smiled faintly and responded.....

“Good morning Joon! Yeah... I had a good sleep last night.”

Suddenly, Rena came out of the room and spoke out loudly.....

“Good morning Joon!!! You’ve been waiting for me, right?”

Joon exclaimed out of frustration....

“Rena!!! I’m not.....”

Rena interrupted......

“I know you have. Come on! Let’s go or we’re going to be late.”

She said and dragged Joon away, without even letting him saying a word. Joon looked back at Jumi who was staring at him and smiling faintly. Meanwhile, Kei was walking from another direction. He looked at Joon and Rena and then turned to Jumi. He couldn’t help noticing the unhappy expression on Jumi’s face. He spoke out with a smile.....

“Good morning Jumi!”

Jumi turned around and exclaimed......

“Awww... Kei! Morning!”

She said and smiled. Kei responded.....

“You..... look exceptionally lovely today.”

Kei said while staring straight at Jumi who was in a blue coat, white scarf, white earmuffs and white winter boots. Jumi smiled a bit and said....

“Thank you, Kei!”

“Let’s go Jumi! I think the bus is leaving soon.”

“Right! Let’s go!”

They both walked off the mountain toward the buses which had been parked in a row. As they were about to get on a bus, Kei noticed something. He suddenly dragged Jumi to another bus. Jumi exclaimed.....

“Kei! Is there something wrong?”

“No! I just feel like riding another bus.”

“Um... Ok then.”

As they got on the bus and sat down at the back row, Kei looked through the bus window at Joon and Rena, who were sitting in another bus, the one which he and Jumi were about to get on. He turned back to Jumi who was innocently sitting next to him. As time passing by, they all finally arrived back at school......

“Goodbye Kei! Have a nice day!”

Jumi spoke to Kei with a lovely smile. He then responded......

“Bye Jumi! Take care!”

Jumi walked to her mum’s car and turned around to wave at Kei before getting on the car. The car had already been driven away but Kei was still looking. He’d been looking until he lost sight of it........

It was one silent night. Kei was sitting in his room with a book and a pen on the table. He opened up the book slowly and picked up the pen. Kei started to write down............

((There was one time when I didn’t even know how it feels to fall in love with someone. But a girl came into my life and she made me realize that kind of feeling, the feeling of being unable to live without her. It was my 1^st day of junior high school and I transferred into a school. I was stared down by everyone at school. Their eyes were scary and their attitude toward me was totally unacceptable but I tried to endure with that because I believed that it’s not something serious for just being stared down and mistreated. It’s going to end soon. But everything didn’t end there. Everyone was really mean. They bullied me almost every single day. They destroyed my stuffs and did everything to hurt my feeling. There was a time when I was beat up seriously and left alone in a dark place. I tried to close my eyes because I could feel the painfulness all over my body. When I opened up my eyes, someone was walking toward me slowly. I could see her even in the darkness because she’s like an angel from heaven. She bended down in front of me and said in the softest voice I’ve ever heard. “You must be very hurt, right?” was the first word I heard from her. She tried to lift me up and said she was going to take me to the infirmary. She was a small girl but she tried her best to take a big boy like me to the infirmary. After taking me there, she sat me down and cleaned the wound on my face. That was the moment I could see her face very clearly. She was so beautiful. She’s got long black hair. Her eyes were big and attractive. She’s got pinky lips and sharp nose. I couldn’t take my eyes off her because she was so exceptionally lovely. She looked at me and smiled. It was the cutest smile I had ever seen. She asked me my name and told me that her name is Jumi. She told me to be strong and take care of myself. That’s the time when I feel that not everyone was mean after all. At least, there was her who was not. Later on, she became my only friend in that school. She’s a sweet and caring girl. She’s understanding and friendly. Everyone liked her and considered her as the princess of the school. Her cute smile always appeared on her face. But so far as I had known her, I had noticed that there was something behind that smile, something which was opposite of that beautiful smile. Even though she was being loved and liked by everyone but she seemed like a very lonely person. I couldn’t even understand what’s inside of her or what she’s feeling and I couldn’t be someone to keep her company when she’s sad because she’s a kind of girl who would never let her pain out even it hurt her to the limit. On the other hand, she was always the one who understood me the most. When I wanted to cry, she was there to wipe away my tears. When I wanted to laugh, she was there to put the smile on my face. She was always there for me when I had no one. She was so nice until I sometimes thought that she was not a normal human-being. She’s more like an angel who was blessed from heaven to be by my side. Time had been passing by. I knew I must have been falling in love with her already. I always wanted to stand before her and confessed that I was in love with her but I was a coward. I couldn’t even open up my lips to say I love her. 1 year...... 2 years..... 3 years...... 4 years had passed...... She was still the one, whom I love the most in this universe. Even though it had already been 4 years since the first time I met her but she hasn’t changed at all. Her sweet smile, her carrying attitude, her soft voice, her beautiful face and the way she makes me feel remained the same. But something was changed when I found out that her heart had been with someone else already. Her heart had been with him since I didn’t even know her. Honestly, it’s really hurt trying to accept that truth but the most hurtful thing for me is realizing the fact that Jumi had been through so much difficulties. She and that guy were together but she had to leave. Even though I don’t know what kind of reason she had for that leaving but I’m sure it must have been her only choice to leave. She’s always tried to hide her pain and smiled. She’s always tried to make everyone happy while she herself couldn’t even find any reasons to be happy. If I had known from the start that her heart had already been with him, I wouldn’t have told her that I love her. I wouldn’t have made her cry. I wouldn’t have made her guilty. I would rather be secretly in love with her forever. It’s just too late now. All I can do right now is writing this to just make me feel a little bit better. No matter what happen, she will always be that someone, someone whom I can’t live without. Even though, I’ve already known I have to give up her to him but I still want to be someone who protects her and puts the smile on her face. It’s been 4 years 3 months 5 days 5 hours 40 minutes and 22 seconds since the first time I met her and I’ve realized she’s my only dream since that time. For this moment, it’s time for me to say goodbye to this dream because I have to wake up and face the reality. It seems hard but I have to do it. Goodbye.... Goodbye, my beautiful dream!..........”

Kei’s tears were rolling down from his eyes, through his cheeks and dropped on the book pages. He always tried to smile in front of Jumi even his heart had been broken into pieces already..........

“Jumi! Let’s go to the cafeteria together.”

Joon spoke out while looking at Jumi putting her stuffs into her bag. Jumi smiled and responded.....

“Um... Sure!”

As she stood up, Jumi suddenly felt dizzy. Her vision became unclear and dark. As she was about to fall down, Joon suddenly keep her from falling and exclaimed......

“Jumi! Are you ok???”

“I.... I... I am. I’m just a little dizzy.”

“I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

Joon said and escorted Jumi out of the classroom, to the infirmary. While they were walking, they didn’t realize that Rena was watching them from a distance with anger.......

“Jumi is ok. She just felt dizzy because she’s weak. She easily get sick. You should tell her to eat well and rest a lot.”

The doctor spoke to Joon. He responded with a smile.....

“I will. Thank you Ms.Doctor.”

As the doctor left, Joon walked toward Jumi who was sitting on a chair and taking pills. He spoke out.....

“Jumi! You should rest a lot, ok?”

Jumi smiled and responded.....

“Yeah I will. Thank you, Joon!”

Joon looked at her and smiled.............

It was time to go home. Joon stood up and said.....

“Goodbye Jumi! Be careful on your way home.”

Jumi smiled and responded.....

“Goodbye Joon!”

Jumi put all her stuffs in her bag and walked out of the classroom. Once she was walking, someone suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her to a silent place. Jumi was strongly slammed to the wall. She spoke out......

“Rena!!! What do you want from me?”

Rena stared at her in evil expression and responded in a loud scary voice.....

“What do I want from you????? I want you to stay away from Joon!!! Don’t you understand that?”

“When did I ever try to get close to him?”

Rena bit her lips and said.....

“What about this afternoon? Don’t think I didn’t see your drama. You pretended and made Joon escorted you. You’re such a drama queen.”

Jumi clenched her fists and responded......

“If I am a drama queen, what are you? In front of Joon, you’re one sweet girl but behind him, you’re an evil. Doesn’t it make you a drama queen too?”

“You!!!! How dare you?”

Rena raised her hand up to slap Jumi but she was stopped by someone who suddenly grabbed her hand. Jumi turned to that someone and exclaimed......

“Kei!!!”

Kei stared at Rena and spoke out expressionlessly.....

“What are you trying to do to Jumi?”

Rena responded fearlessly......

“I don’t know who you are but let me warn you once. Let go of my hand. NOW!!!”

Kei squeezed Rena’s hand and responded......

“Should I let go of your hand while you’re trying to slap my friend? Let me warn you back. Do not ever touch Jumi again.”

Kei let go of Rena’s hang and dragged Jumi out of there. Rena couldn’t do anything besides staring at them with anger. Meanwhile, someone was standing and watching them in a totally blank expression...............

“Jumi! Are you ok?”

Kei asked Jumi after getting her out of that hard situation. Jumi smiled a bit and responded.........

“Don’t worry, Kei! I’m fine!”

“If that girl dares to do anything to you again next time, you have to tell me, ok?”

“It’s ok, Kei! I don’t think she dares to do that again. I’m heading home now. See you tomorrow!”

Jumi said and walked away, leaving Kei, who had been staring at her back until he lost sight of her......

It was already late at night but Jumi hadn’t gone to bed yet. She was standing in her verandah and staring at the blank night sky. Immediately, her phone rang. She got a mail message from someone. As she opened it up. It was written.....

(Knock! Knock! Are you still up?)

Seeing the sender’s number made Jumi smile but it was not a complete smile because she was reminded of what had happened at school that evening. She pressed the button reply and wrote.....

(Yes I am. Why are you staying up so late? You should go to bed.)

A moment later, a text messaged alerted. Jumi looked into her phone. It was from the same person....

(That’s the question I should be asking you. Why are you staying up so late? Remember what I told you this afternoon?)

Jumi replied the text.......

(Yeah..... You told me to rest a lot.)

(Good! Then why are you staying up so late?)

(I am not sleepy yet. Promise I won’t stay up late again. What about you? Why are you staying up late too?)

Joon looked at his phone screen and smiled. He replied to Jumi’s text......

(Good girl! I’m staying up late for a reason. I’ll tell you that reason later.)

(Is there any difference between telling me right now and telling me later?)

Joon replied.....

(Of course.... There is a huge difference.)

(Really? Then when are you planning to tell me?)

(Just 10 minutes more...)

10 minutes later, a text from Joon alerted on Jumi’s phone. She opened it up and read.....

(Look at the clock. What time is it now?)

Jumi looked at the clock in her room and replied......

(It’s past 12 right now.)

(Happy Valentine’s Day!!!)

Jumi was a little bit surprised by Joon’s text. She replied.....

(I didn’t even know today is Valentine’s day.)

Joon smiled and texted back.....

(It’s time for me to tell you that reason. I’m staying up late because I want to be the first person to say Happy Valentine’s day to you. You should go to bed now. Good night!)

Jumi read Joon’s text and smiled........

“”How can I keep myself away from you while you keep doing these to me?””

It was one beautiful morning. Everything was in pink because it was Valentine’s day. Jumi was walking to school alone. Once she arrived at school, she suddenly noticed someone from a distance. He was in school uniform but it was a uniform from another school. He was sitting on a big motorcycle with a huge teddy bear beside him. Everyone, who walked pass him, couldn’t take their eyes off him because it was quite an eye catching for a handsome manly guy sitting with a teddy bear which was almost his size. Jumi, who was staring at him, couldn’t help smiling seeing the shy expression on his face. She walked toward him and said......

“Good morning, Haru senpai!”

“Oh hi, little Jumi!”

“Are you waiting for someone?”

Haru responded.....

“Um... Yeah... I’ve been waiting for someone. I wonder what’s taking her so long.”

Jumi said with a cute smile....

“I guess she’s coming soon. Happy Valentine’s day senpai! I’ll take your leave now. Goodbye!”

“Wait!”

“Yeah???”

“Looks like she just arrived.”

Jumi exclaimed.....

“Really? Where?”

Haru responded with a smile....

“Right in front of me!”

“Yeah?????”

Haru handed Jumi the giant teddy bear and said......

“I’ve been waiting for you, silly girl. Here! Happy Valentine’s day. I promised to get you something big. Is this big enough?”

Jumi was very surprised. She spoke out with her eyes wide opened.....

“But.... Haru senpai... You really meant it?”

“Did I look like I was joking? Come on! Take it! Everyone is staring at me.”

Jumi took the teddy bear from Haru and said with a smile.....

“Thank you Haru senpai! This is really big!”

“Yeah... It’s really hard to find something big for you. Alright! It’s time to study now. You should go to your classroom.”

Jumi bowed a bit and walked to her classroom. Haru watched Jumi holding the giant teddy bear and couldn’t help smiling........

Jumi was sitting in the classroom during a recess with flower bunches, postcards and presents all over her desk. Immediately, a paper plane flew through the window and fell on her desk. Jumi picked it up and had a look. There was a message written on it... (((Be my Valentine!)))... Suddenly, everyone in her classroom ran to the windows and exclaimed.....

“Oh my god!!!”

“He’s soooooooooo sweet!”

“Wow.... She’s so lucky!”

Jumi stood up and looked out of the window. A tall guy in school uniform and white sneakers was standing with a big bunch of pink balloons in his hand. The rose petals were scattered on the green grass field as a phrase.... ((Happy Valentine’s day Jumi!))... Once Kei saw Jumi looking at him from a window, he waved his hand at her and smiled sweetly. Everyone suddenly turned to Jumi. She smiled a little bit and tried to hide her shyness.......

“Kei! You surprised me?”

Jumi said to Kei after coming all the way from upstairs to him. Kei smiled and responded......

“My mission completed! I tried to surprise you.”

Jumi smiled and replied.....

“You’ve done so much for me Kei! Thank you and Happy Valentine’s day.”

Kei handed the balloons to Jumi and said.........

“Happy Valentine’s day princess!”

Jumi accepted the bunch of balloon and bended down as the real princess’s posture. Then they both laughed out loud.......

Time passed by and it’s time to leave school already. Jumi was walking out of the classroom with so many things in her hands, without realizing she had dropped something from her backpack......

“Helloooooooo...... Looks like you’ve got so many things. Are you sure you can go home like this?”

Kei said to Jumi as he had seen her having a difficult time trying to hold everything. Jumi smiled and replied....

“I guess I can.”

“But I don’t think you can. Come on! I’ll help you bringing these things home.”

“It’s ok, Kei!”

Kei got all the stuffs from Jumi and said....

“Don’t refuse!”

“Thank you so much, Kei!”

Suddenly, a guy ran toward her and handed her a big bunch of 999 roses and a box. He said....

“Jumi! Someone told me to give you this.”

“Really? Who?”

“Open it and you’ll know.”

Jumi accepted the things and said....

“Thank you.”

Jumi opened the box and it was a chocolate cake with captions ((Happy Valentine’s day Little!)). There was a postcard which was written (Meet me at the classroom after you get this! Joon....). Jumi turned to Kei and said....

“Well.... Kei! Looks like I have something to do for a moment! You can go home first, ok?”

Kei looked at her and said.....

“It’s ok! I can wait!”

“But... Kei...”

“Don’t worry! It won’t be long until midnight, right?”

Jumi smiled and said.....

“Yeah I’ll be back soon.”

Jumi said and ran rapidly to the classroom while Kei was staring at her with a sad expression.......

Meanwhile, Joon was waiting for Jumi in the classroom. He was holding the magic bottle, which Jumi had dropped, in his hand. Suddenly, someone called out his name......

“Joon!!!”

He turned around and........

If I knew as a child what I know now, Mom, I probably wouldn't have made things so hard for you.
I would have understood that you were looking out for my best interest.
even though it may not have seemed so at the time. I would have known how difficult it is to let go,
to stand back and let someone you love learn from their mistakes. I would have realized how fortunate I was to have a mother who was always there for me,even after an argument,even after I'd said things I shouldn't have. While it's too late for a lot of things, it's not too late for me to tell you that I appreciate how loving you are, how giving you've always been and that even though I may not always be good at showing it, I love you very much.

My mummy,
You are my 'supermom' in the whole world..
And I'm your 'tinyhero' who always break the rules
but never across the 'wild' borders..
You always protect me with your 'magic touch' & 'mighty hands'..
You never let me down even if I'm so close to be 'terminated' from the universe..
My dearest mummy, I love u today, tomorrow n till the end..

3 months away

The time is quite fast and the vacation is quite short. I'm going back to school tomorrow. More than that the national exam is approaching so I guess I have to be away from "Endless Memory" and everyone for a while in order to keep my mind on the study and also to prepare for the exam. I promise to be back in the next 3 months. It's quite long, isn't it? I'm gonna miss everyone a lot. T____T But no matter what, I'm gonna be back and bring lots of new good stuffs to show you. I hope you will still drop by at "Endless Memory" and still support my novel. I just wanna let you know that my memory wouldn't be completed without you guys in it.... :)

Jumi had been listening to Kei’s sweet voice with a smile until he stopped playing and went down on his knee. He grabbed Jumi’s hand and spoke out.......

“Jumi! I love you! Can you be someone who stays next to me until the end of time?”

Jumi’s expression was suddenly changed. She exclaimed.......

“Kei!!!”

Kei smiled and spoke to Jumi while staring straight into her eyes......

“Can you accept my feeling?”

Jumi responded.....

“Kei! Actually, I... I....”

Jumi seemed to want to say something to Kei but she couldn’t because she’s afraid that her words might hurt his feeling. Suddenly Kei said to her with a smile.......

“Jumi! That’s ok! You can have some times to decide. I’m not in a rush for the answer.”

“No Kei! I can’t let you endure with that feeling anymore.”

She looked at him and continued.....

“Ever since I started to know you until now, you’ve been such a great friend to me. And I’ve always wished to have you as my great friend until the end of time. I’m so sorry Kei! I.... I... can’t become someone that you’ve wanted me to be.”

Kei stared at Jumi with eyes full of painfulness. He responded.....

“Why? Can you just tell me the reason? Or you’ve got someone in your heart already?”

“Kei! In my heart you’re my best friend and nothing can change that. I’m so sorry!”

Jumi said and walked away, without realizing she had dropped a book from her blanket on the grass when she stood up. Meanwhile, Kei was clenching his both fists and closing his eyes to the truth that was nothing but breaking his heart into pieces. He turned around and saw a book on the grass. Kei was sure that it must be Jumi’s. He picked it up and took a look at its cover. Immediately, a photo fell off the book. Kei bended down and picked it up. It was a picture of a boy and a girl sitting on swings and holding each other’s hands. Kei looked at the photo for a second and suddenly recognized the girl in the photo. She was none other than Jumi. He had no intention to look into that book at all but that photo just made him curious. And his curiosity brought him to open that book slowly. The first page was shown and it was something which had been written about memory. The second page was a picture of a boy and a girl riding a bicycle together, which had been drawn beautifully. The third page was a picture of a boy and a girl watching stars together. There were many more pictures of a boy and a girl being together in the book. Kei kept on opening until he reached a page which had been written as “Jumi’s diary entry 2^nd, Jan, 2003” ((Today Joon read me a fairy tale. It’s called “Sleeping Beauty”........)). Kei turned to the next page and it’s another Jumi’s diary entry ((I was really scared. But my prince charming was the one who rescued me. The warm feeling he gave me seemed to be bringing my frightfulness away. Joon! You've never known that you're the one who always give me the strength to move on......)). He turned to the next page ((Today Joon came to rescue me again. I'm sorry Joon! I unintentionally lie to you. That's because it's really hard for me seeing you're hurt. Joon! You’re the only person who knows I’m crying, even under the falling rain. Thanks for the song and piggy ride............)). Kei kept on turning the book to the next and next page with a blank expression until he reached a page which was also Jumi’s diary entry ((................Joon! I'm not sure if I will be able to see your face again or not. But all I wish is to be with you, to see your smile. Even I'm leaving you, but my heart is with you. I'm taking our memories along with me and treasure it deep down in my heart. I'm taking everything that reminds me of you. Goodbye Joon.... Goodbye.....)). The next page was another Jumi’s diary entry ((Diary! He's finally back! He really is back! This is not a dream. Joon is back. It's been 7 years since the last time I saw him. He hasn't changed at all. He still keeps the smile on his face as usual. But the only thing he's changed is he doesn't remember me anymore......)). Kei kept on reading until he reached a page which was written as “Jumi’s diary entry 3^rd , Feb, 2011” ((For all these times, I had been confusing that I’m still a part of your life, still someone important to you, still someone you care and protect. It’s hard to wake up from this confusion because in my heart, you’re still that someone, someone whom I don’t want to lose and someone who is my endless memory....)). After reading that page, a teardrop dripped on Kei’s hand. Meanwhile his tears had been flowing non-stop on his face. Kei felt like his heart stopped beating because the pain was too strong for him to endure........................

Jumi walked into the room slowly and found out that Rena had already fallen asleep. She walked noiselessly toward her bed and lied down. Jumi thought back of the sadness in Kei’s eyes when he had looked at her. It just caused her to feel guilty out of sudden. She tried to close her eyes but it was just unable to stop that feeling. Jumi was also hurt to see the pain in Kei’s eyes because all she’s ever wanted was people, who are important to her, to be happy....................

Early morning, Jumi woke up while Rena was still sleeping. After getting ready, she put on warm clothes and the pink gloves. Jumi dragged her blanket from her bed and suddenly turned surprised because her diary wasn’t there. She had been trying to look for it around the room but she still couldn’t find it at all. Meanwhile, something suddenly came into her mind. She was sure that it must have been dropped somewhere on the grass field. She ran out of the room very quickly, toward the grass field. Jumi had been looking for it all around in the cold weather of winter, until someone walked toward her and said.......

“Jumi! Are you looking for this?”

Jumi turned around and exclaimed.....

“Kei!!!!”

She looked at the book is his hand and said......

“That... that book....”

Kei smiled and responded.......

“It must be yours, right?”

He said and handed it back to Jumi. She took it back from Kei. He then said.....

“I’m so sorry to look into it without your permission.”

Jumi was startled by Kei’s words. Kei continued.......

“Looks like I’ve already found out the reason why you can’t accept my feeling for you. Is it because of him?”

Jumi looked at Kei with eyes full of tears. They seemed to be ready to fall down anytime. She responded.....

“You’re right! I can’t accept your feeling because my heart has been with him already.”

“I’m regret that I came into your life too late. If I have come just a little bit earlier, I wouldn’t have let your heart go to him.”

Jumi’s tears started to fall down. She spoke out with guiltiness......

“Kei! I’m sorry! I’m truly sorry!”

Kei walked toward her and wiped her tear slowly. He looked at her and responded with a smile......

“It’s ok, Jumi! You’re not wrong for that.”

During a winter day, a guy was wiping a girl’s tears with a smile under the snowfall, without caring that his tears were also flowing all over his face.............

After a busy day, it’s already 5 in the evening. Everyone was going back to their rooms in order to get ready for dinner and party. Jumi walked into her room and put her stuffs on the bed. As she walked into the bathroom, Rena walked in slowly and noiselessly. She took Jum’s diary, which was underneath her blanket, and opened it slowly in order to look into it. After finding out what’s inside that book, Rena was suddenly startled and dropped the book out of her hand. Meanwhile, she heard the sound of the bathroom door. Rena suddenly picked the book up and put it back under Jumi’s blanket. As Jumi came out, she had a look at Rena, who was sitting on the bed expressionlessly. Jumi said to her....

“Rena! Aren’t you taking a shower? It’s almost time for dinner already.”

“Um yeah....”

Rena grabbed her towel and walked into the bathroom. Jumi got her stuffs into a bag and walked out of the room. Rena had been watching her until she got out. She clenched her fist and said alone......

“I don’t care who she is. I will never let Joon go to her easily.”

As Jumi was walking, someone suddenly threw a snow ball at her. She turned around and saw Kei, who was smiling sweetly at her. He spoke out cordially.....

“Snow ball fight!”

Jumi smiled and threw the snowball back at Kei. They had been playing and smiling happily while Joon had been watching them from a distance. Immediately, Rena walked toward him and said.....

“Joon! Dinner’s ready! Let’s go to the hall.”

He sighed and followed her to the hall. After Joon walking away, Rena took a look at the direction where Joon had been looking at earlier. As she found out that he had been looking at Jumi, her expression was suddenly changed.......

After having dinner, everyone was preparing to play some games. As for Jumi, she walked out of the hall to a place, where was kind of quiet and peaceful. She took a seat on a bench and looked straight forward at the blank night sky which there was no stars and the moon........

“What are you looking at? It’s just a blank sky.”

Someone took a seat next to her and spoke out. She turned to him and responded.....

“I’m looking for the stars.”

Joon smiled and responded.....

“You can’t see the stars in winter night.”

Jumi replied....

“They are there but they’re trying to hide behind the cloud. I might be able to see them if I try looking for them.”

Joon laughed a bit and spoke to her.....

“You’re like a kid. Anyway, why are you coming out alone? You should have joined them in the games.”

Jumi smiled and replied......

“Um..... It seemed fun. But I’ve never played those kinds of game so it’s kind of hard to join them.”

“Ah... I see. By the way aren’t you cold being out here?”

Jumi responded.....

“Just a little bit but I can endure with it. Today, the weather seems a little colder than yesterday. There was even snowfall.”

Joon responded.....

“Why are you alone? You should have called your friend to come with you.”

Jumi replied with a smile......

“They were having fun. I dare not to disturb them.”

The atmosphere was quiet for a moment before Joon speaking out......

“Jumi! I’m sorry!”

Jumi suddenly turned to him and exclaimed......

“Joon!!! Why...... Why are you apologizing?”

Joon looked at her and said....

“I’m sorry for having been away from you. I’m sorry for unable to be with you when you’re alone.”

“Joon! You... You shouldn’t be sorry for that.”

Joon responded while staring straight at Jumi........

“I hate to see you lonely but I.... I... I couldn’t even rid your loneliness.”

Jumi smiled and responded....

“Don’t worry! I’m ok with that. I might seem lonely but I get used to it already. Being alone is not lonely after all.”

“Are you speaking that out of your true feeling?”

Jumi’s expression was changed a little bit. Joon continued......

“You’re saying you’re ok with that but do you know that your eyes say the different thing?”

Jumi smiled and responded.....

“Even though it’s so, you shouldn’t have been sorry for that.”

Joon looked at her and replied.....

“I wouldn’t have cared nor even been sorry if that was other people who’s lonely. But the one who’s lonely is you and you’re more special to me than other people do.”

Jumi suddenly turned to Joon and looked at him with a surprised expression. They had been alone and talking, without realizing Rena had been watching them from a distance with anger. She clenched her fists and stared at them angrily................

It was about 10 o’clock at night and Jumi walked back into the room. Meanwhile Rena was sitting with her leg crossed on the bed. As Jumi was preparing to go to bed, Rena spoke out......

“What is the exact relationship between you and Joon?”

Jumi turned to her and responded......

“Why do you ask about that out of sudden?”

Rena suddenly yelled.....

“Just answer me!”

Jumi clenched her fist and answered.....

Joon suddenly exclaimed….

“Rena??? What are you doing here? And what’s with this uniform?”

Rena smiled and responded……

“From now on I’m going to study in this school with you.”

Joon exclaimed.....

“WHAT???”

Rena pouted and responded.....

“You’re not happy that I study here with you, are you?”

“Don’t you suppose to go back to England?”

“Yeah! But it might take long time until I go back so I guess studying here temporary must be great.”

“............................................................”

Rena continued.........

“Joon! Finally I can be next to you again!”

Rena said and smiled happily while Jumi was staying still with a blank expression......

It’s already in the afternoon. The atmosphere in the cafeteria was crowded as normal. Jumi was sitting at the table where she usually is. As she was having her lunch, she could hear a group of people, who were sitting next to her table, were talking......

“Hey! Who is that arrogant girl? Is she Joon’s girlfriend?”

“I don’t know. But they sure look great together.”

“Um.... I think they look great together because they both are good-looking. But as for personality and behavior, I guess they don’t fit each other well at all.”

As Jumi heard them, she turned to the cafeteria door and saw Joon, who was walking in with Rena. She kept staring at them until someone had a seat in front of her and spoke out......

“Hey Jumi!!!!”

She turned to him and exclaimed.....

“Kei!!!”

Kei smiled and responded.......

“You’re alone again! I told you to call me along when you’re alone but you didn’t.”

Jumi smiled and replied gently........

“I’ll call you next time.”

Suddenly, there was an announcement in the cafeteria. Everyone turned quiet in order to listen.....

“Good afternoon everyone! I’d like to inform to all students, who are 2^nd graders, that you are going to have a school camping next week. So please be prepared! Thank you!”

Kei turned to Jumi and spoke out.......

“This is going to be fun! I like camping.”

Jumi looked at Kei’s happy face and smiled......

It’s 5 o’clock in the evening. The class was finally over. Jumi collected all her stuffs and put them in her pink bag. She stood up and turned to Joon, who was still tidying his things up, and said with a smile.....

“Good bye Joon! Have a nice day.”

She said and walked away. As Joon had seen Jumi walking away, he put his stuffs in his back in a rush and walked out of the classroom. As he came out, he saw Jumi standing and talking with a girl........

“Thank you! Good bye Jumi!”

“Good bye senpai!”

Jumi smiled and bowed a bit. Then the girl, who had talked to Jumi, suddenly walked away. As Jumi was also about to walk away, Joon spoke out.....

“Jumi!!!”

She turned around and exclaimed.....

“Joon!”

Once Joon was about to walk toward Jumi, Rena walked from the other side and grabbed his hand. She said out.....

“Hey Joon! You must be waiting for me, right? Let’s go home together!”

She said and dragged him with her, leaving Jumi who was still staring at them. Joon suddenly turned to Jumi and it seemed like he didn’t want to leave her at all. She looked at him and waved her hand with a smile.........

“Jumi! What are you doing here? Aren’t you going home?”

Jumi turned around and said.....

“Kei! Um... I’m about to go. What about you?”

“Me too! Then let’s go together”

It was one day of winter. On a street, which was filled with snow, Jumi and Kei, who were in school uniform, were walking together silently. Kei spoke out......

“Jumi! Do you usually walk home alone?”

“Um... Yeah!”’

“Do you feel lonely?”

Jumi smiled and responded......

“Sometimes! But I guess being alone has become my habit already.”

Kei replied.....

“If you’re lonely then why don’t you find some friends to stop your loneliness?”

Jumi looked at the tree and responded......

“People walk into my life but they don’t intend to stay forever. One day they get out of my life and I can’t do anything besides watching them walking away. That’s why I’d rather be lonely. It’s so much better than being hurt by the departure of them.”

Kei looked at Jumi, who was still smiling, but her smile didn’t seem to be enough to cover the sadness in her eyes at all...........

Days have passed, it was 7^th of February. Joon was opening his locker to take some of his books. As he was heading to the classroom, he realized that he had forgotten to lock the locker. Joon walked back and suddenly bumped into someone......

“I’m so sorry!!!”

A girl with long black hair spoke out as if she was in a rush. Joon responded.....

“It’s ok!”

Once Joon looked at her face, he exclaimed....

“Jumi!!!”

Jumi was startled out of sudden. She exclaimed.....

“Joon!”

“Where are you going?”

Jumi stammered.....

“I’m... Um... I’m... I’m going back to class. I’ve got to go now. Goodbye Joon!”

She said and ran away. Joon kind of wondered about Jumi’s strange behavior but he continued walking to his locker. As he opened it, he saw a big white blanket with cartoon print on it with a postcard written ‘Joon! It’s getting cold. I hope you always keep yourself warm. Happy birthday!!!”. Joon looked at the present and couldn’t help smiling.....

As time passing by, 1 week had already passed. Joon seemed to be getting far and far away from Jumi because of the presence of Rena. Jumi was still usual. Her smile had never disappeared but what’s inside her mind was something that people couldn’t figure out by watching her from the outside. It’s early in the morning. Jumi got her stuffs ready and put it into the car. She’s in long jeans, a white t-shirt, a pink sweater and white sneakers. She put on a cute warm hat and walked into the car. While Jumi's mum was driving her to school, she spoke out.......

“It’s really cold! Take care of yourself, my baby! Put on warm clothes and be careful, ok?”

Jumi smiled and responded.....

“Yes mummy!”

As they arrived at Jumi’s school, Jumi brought her backpack and got out of the car. She spoke to her mum......

“Goodbye mum! See you soon! Take care!”

As Jumi was about to walk away, her mum called out.....

“Jumi! Wait!”

Jumi suddenly stopped walking. Her mum walked toward her and put on a scarf around her neck. Her mum spoke out......

“You always forget to put on the scarf. Goodbye Jumi! Good luck! Enjoy your camp!”

She smiled and hugged her mum tightly. Jumi waved her hand at her mum who was driving away. As she turned around, someone was standing there and smiling at her. He was a tall guy in long torn jeans, a black t-shirt, a black hoodie, a white scarf and a pair of white sneakers. He spoke out....

“Morning Jumi!”

“Joon!”

“You look cute today.”

Jumi smiled and responded gently.....

“Thank you.”

They walked together toward the crowd in front of the school hall......

“Joon!!!”

Rena suddenly ran toward Joon as she had seen him walking in. She hanged onto Joon’s arm and spoke out......

“Joon! What took you so long?”

Without any response, Joon just sighed. He turned to Jumi and she was still smiling as normal. After calling out everyone’s name, the teacher told them to get on the bus. Rena never got away from Joon. She kept following him around until it left Joon no choice and had to sit next to her in the bus. Jumi got on a bus and looked around for a free seat but her eyes suddenly stopped at Joon who was sitting next to Rena.........

“Jumi!!! Here!”

Someone suddenly called her name. She turned to that voice and saw Kei, who was sitting at the back row. She smiled and walked toward him. As she took a seat next to Kei, he spoke out........

“I’m afraid you’re not calling out for me again so I decided to call out for you.”

Jumi looked at him and smiled faintly..........

After travelling for 4 hours, they finally arrived at the foot of a beautiful mountain, which were filled with green grass field and trees covered by snow. Everyone got off the bus and the teacher announced.....

“Alright everyone! The resort where you camp is on the flank of this mountain. It’s about 2km from here. You guys have to walk there. Alright! Let’s get your stuffs!”

After getting their stuffs, everyone started to walk up the mountain. Some people complained.....

“Oh come on! Why do we have to go camping in winter? I’m freezing to death already.”

After walking for about 5 minutes, Kei said to Jumi........

“Jumi! Are you tired?”

“No, not at all.”

“Here! Let me carry your bag!”

Jumi responded.......

“Nahhhh.... It’s ok!”

“Come on! I’ll carry it for you.”

He said and grabbed the bag from Jumi. She said to him with a smile.....

“Thank you Kei!”

Joon, who was walking with Rena, had been watching them all along. Suddenly Rena pretended to fall and said.....

“Awwww!!!”

Joon turned to her and said.....

“What’s wrong, Rena?”

She pouted and said.....

“My legs hurt.”

“Who told you to wear high heels to climb the mountain?”

“Come on Joon! My legs hurt already. Can you give me a piggy ride?”

It left Joon no choice. He sighed and sat down. Rena smiled and hopped on his back, without realizing Jumi had been watching them with a blank expression. 20 minutes later, they finally arrived at the camping place. The place was so beautiful. There were many bungalows which were built of wood. They were arranged in a row along the way. There were lots of grass fields and trees all around. The teacher spoke out.......

“Alright! One room for three people. You guys can choose who you want to stay with and tell me the name.”

After arranging people for each room, it was down to only Jumi and Rena left. The teacher spoke out......

“There is one more room left and there are Rena and Jumi. So you guys stay together. Alright! So be ready for lunch and our lesson will start after that.”

Kei handed Jumi’s bag to her and walked into his room. Jumi walked with Rena toward a room. Rena put her luggage on a bed. She opened it and brought out her clothes, which mostly are fashionable and elegant, her accessories, her makeup stuffs and her whitening lotions. As for Jumi, she opened her bag and brought out her clothes, which mostly are warm and thick, reading books, note books, a pencil case, a flashlight, a pair of pink gloves, which Joon had given her. She brought out all those stuffs and put them on her bed. Rena was sitting on her bed with her leg crossed and staring at Jumi. Jumi took a lovely book and put it on the desk beside her bad. Rena suddenly grabbed that book and said.....

“What is this book???”

She was about to open it when Jumi suddenly snatched it back and said.......

“No! You can’t look at it!”

Rena responded with an unfriendly expression.....

“Why? Is there some kind of secrets in that book?”

“It doesn’t even matter with you. You shouldn’t look at people’s stuffs without their permissions.”

Jumi grabbed her notebooks and pencil case and walked rapidly out of the room, leaving Rena who was wondering what’s in that book. She spoke out alone.....

“Wait and see! I’ll definitely find out what’s inside that book.”

After having lunch and studying about plants, which are grown in winter, it’s already 5:30 in the evening. The teacher told them to take a bath and get ready for dinner. After getting ready, everyone was gathering at a hall. They had dinner altogether and had fun with playing games and dancing around the fire. Jumi had been sitting alone and watching them with a smile. Suddenly Kei walked toward her and said.....

“Jumi! Can you come with me for a moment?”

“Um.... Sure!”

She said and walked out of the hall with Kei while Joon, who was sitting with Rena, were staring at them until he lost sight of them. Kei leaded Jumi to a place, where was surrounded with trees and beautiful lights. Jumi suddenly exclaimed.....

“Wow! This is so beautiful. It’s like a magic land.”

Kei smiled and responded....

“Do you like it?”

“Yeah! But how did you find it?”

“I’m a good explorer.”

Jumi looked at him and smiled. Kei and Jumi took a seat on the grass field then Kei shyly spoke out......

“Um... Well.... I... I...”

Kei seemed to be unable to speak when Jumi was staring straight at him. He suddenly spoke out something which was not what he wanted to....

“Jumi! Are you cold?”

“It’s ok! By the way, did you want to say something?”

“Um.... Well.... I... I’ve prepared something for you.”

He said and brought out a guitar. He put it on his laps and started to play the song “I can’t fight this feeling anymore”..........

“Jumi! I love you! Can you be someone who stays next to me until the end of time?”
